In a time when monsters pour out of Gates and hunters rule the land, Jin Tae-Kyung is a low-ranking hunter who stumbles upon a VR machine. By accident, he logs into a virtual world that revolves around martial arts. Through trials and tribulations, Tae-Kyung eventually breaks free from the game, but not before gaining immense strength and knowledge from his time in Murim. Equipped with this newfound power, he resumes his position as a hunter. However, out of compassion for his non-playable-character allies, he chooses to re-enter the realm of Murim.
